PinoyMountaineer Pix Once again, PinoyMountaineer featured another hiking trail from Mt Cinco Picos going to Silanguin Cove . The information was provided by Ericson Escalante of AdTrek Mountaineering Club when they hiked Mt Cinco Picos last October 4 and 5 2008 . As far as I know they are also the first group who reached the campsite at around 12:30 PM. Please take note also the new rates of guide and jeepney rental when you plan to hike Mt Cinco Picos and Pointed Peak (aka Bundok Balingkilat).
- SPECIAL CONCERNS
Updates for the Cinco Picos trek include the following: Two guides are required for 1-10 persons, then 1 additional guide for every additional five climbers -- the rate is 300/day/guide. As for the transportation, if following the itinerary in this page it is possible to secure a roundtrip (Olongapo-Sitio Cawag then Pundaquit-Olongapo) jeepney rental with P2,600.
You may also check these mountains in Zambales which were also featured in PinoyMountaineer
NOTE:
PinoyMountaineer has the most comprehensive list of guides for mountains and outdoor destinations in the country, as well as bulletins to keep you updated with the local mountaineering scene.
